As many of you already know, my browser of preference is Mozilla Firefox. Although Internet Explorer 9 has come a long way and is a fantastic browser, the customization available to Firefox through it’s thousands of Add-ons always has me returning to it as my primary browser.

Recently my sister-in-law called me with the following problem: her daughter had a Word Document that she needed to work on for homework, but she could not get Microsoft Office to run because the version that came with her Dell PC was asking for a product key and she was having trouble locating it. I told her to try OpenOffice.org instead of rummaging through the house looking for the missing product key.

More “Juice”

The fastest route to seeing a noticeable difference is to add more RAM. To view how much "memory" your computer currently has installed, right-click the My Computer icon and click properties. In the general tab, towards the bottom of the window, you will see your computer processor, along with it's speed and amount of memory installed.
